Delete your Ubrix account
How a homeowner deletes the account they use to sign in to the Ubrix Homeowner app, what is deleted and what your housebuilder keeps.
Use Ubrix Site or Ubrix Contractors for work? Your account was set up by your employer (a housebuilder, principal contractor or contractor), so you can't delete it yourself. Ask your company's Ubrix administrator to change or remove it. Your name stays on the work you did, because your employer and the companies you worked for need to keep a record of who did what. To have your personal data removed from your employer's records, contact your employer: they decide what they keep.
Delete it in the app
- Open the Ubrix Homeowner app and sign in.
- Tap your profile button at the top of the screen (or open More, then Account).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Read what will happen and confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away. You are signed out on every device and cannot sign in again with that email address and password.
Can't use the app?
Email support@ubrix.co.uk from the email address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm the request from that address before we act on it. We will delete the account within 30 days and email you when it is done.
What happens
- Your sign-in is removed. Your Ubrix login is turned off immediately and then permanently deleted. You are signed out on every device.
- Your devices are forgotten: the push-notification tokens for your phones and tablets, your notification settings, and any password-reset links issued to you.
- Nothing is deleted from the records you are part of. The defects, snags, appointments, forms, photos and notes about your home belong to your housebuilder's records. They stay, and stay linked to your (now closed) account.
- Your identity is replaced with "Unknown". On your account, your name becomes "Unknown" and your email address, phone number and profile photo are removed.
- Everywhere your name was copied into a record (defects and snags you reported, your messages to your housebuilder, complaints, appointments you booked, forms and checklists you filled in or signed, notes, notifications and the activity history), it is replaced with "Unknown", and any copied email address or phone number is removed.
- The records themselves stay with your housebuilder so they can keep looking after your home, but they no longer say who you are.
- Your housebuilder's own sales and purchase records about you (your reservation, purchase and plot ownership details) are theirs, are not changed by deleting your app account, and are kept under the housebuilder's own retention policy. To ask about those, contact your housebuilder.
- Message threads on a home that is under a legal hold are left exactly as they are until the hold is lifted.
- What you can see in the app was only ever what your housebuilder shared with you (your plot's and development's documents; after the defects liability period ends, only the documents shared with you). None of that is affected.
How long things are kept
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Your login | Deleted straight away (permanently removed from Microsoft Entra) |
| Records you are part of (shown as "Unknown") | As long as the business that owns them keeps them, usually the length of its contract with us plus 6 years |
| Your account record (marked deleted, shown as "Unknown") | Kept so the records above stay linked, for the same period |
| Database backups that still contain your old details | Up to 35 days, then overwritten |
| Server and security logs | 90 days |
Data on your device
Deleting your account signs you out. The app clears its stored data when you sign out. To remove everything, uninstall the app.
